Today was a BUSY day!
I did errands and grocery shopping early in the morning. Then I spent the better part of the day in the kitchen- cooking. I made homemade dog food (ground beef, peppers, spinach, broccoli and a few blueberries) and liver dog treats. That went into our brand new freezer! I cut up a huge amount of vegetables for the week: celery, broccoli, cauliflower, Brussel Sprouts, peppers. I roasted potatoes and cauliflower and made two loaves of meatloaf- which I put into containers for the freezer for a few dinners over the week.

I am in the process of getting rid of stuff that I don't need. I call it: decrapification!!
It is a bit easier as My Guy went away for the weekend and it is much easier to get things done when no one is home. My daughter is at her summer job- which is about 4 hours away so it is quiet here. Not counting the dogs who go nuts when there is any noise outside. I took this stuff to Value Village today! The black tool box is also filled with crap, I mean stuff. I put my old bike up on Kijiji last night and in 6 minutes, I got a response. (I had to get a new bike because the back axle broke- or at least I think that was the problem- so I am just selling it for parts or if someone can fix it.) I sold the old one last night for $10. Forty minutes it took for the ad to go up until the guy picked it up. I bought another bike for about $90 about 2 weeks ago. It isn't brand new but it is in good shape. My old bike died on a nice 30km ride with some cadets near the middle of June, eh? At least it happened close to our destination! It was 15 years old. This was the ad to sell it: This is Betsy. Betsy is my bike. She has been with me for about 15 years now. That is a long time. I appreciate Betsy. But now Betsy is broken (the back axle, I think) and she needs a new home. Maybe someone else can fix her. Or maybe someone can use her parts for other bikes. Betsy won’t mind. If you want to come and meet Betsy, let me know by message. My daughter also wants to sell her bike and get another one sometime. The same guy is coming this morning to buy hers! Her bike is hard to pedal. I don't like it. Soooooo, I shall continue with selling or donating the things that I don't need anymore. Simplify! |
